US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
In this class, we will be exploring the world of Groundhogs. Every year they become famous on February 2nd to help predict the duration of winter or the early coming of Spring. First, we will read a story with a funny twist on the Groundhog legend and discuss our own weather predictions. Next, we will look at pictures of groundhogs, discuss their appearance, habitats, and special skills. Since Groundhogs are vegetarians, we will also play a fun game to find food to feed the groundhog. I am looking forward to our class together.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been teaching for the last 27 years in a variety of settings. I have worked with children 3 to 12 years of age. I have created curriculum for 3-6 year old's, tutored, been a nanny, an assistant director, assistant teacher for early learners in the school district, and taught English (ESL) online. I have a BA in Early Childhood Education and a BA in Psychology. I love to find creative ways for children to learn and have fun! I believe children learn best through a variety of means including: repetition, writing, movement, creativity, socialization, fun, and a positive attitude. If I do not know the answer to a child's question, I will research it and let them know. Knowledge is a powerful tool that can create a spark for future learning and life adventures. I can not wait to have fun teaching and learning from your little ones! See you in the classroom!
