Are you a Cookie Run: Kingdom and are looking for other people to talk about it? You've come to the right place. What's even more exciting than sharing your thoughts about a game you love with people who will become your Cookie Run friends! Students will be able to play Cookie Run: Kingdom, show off the cookies they have, share strategies on how they build their teams and talk about the best cookies to have with one another. Please note that the game is a single-player game with social aspects. The club will be learner-directed and based on what the learners want to cover about the game. We will start every class with a chance for all learners to update us on their cookie kingdom. Each class will require learners to have their device with Cookie Run: Kingdom with them. I will guide the conversation and have a list of prompts and activities in case the discussion dies down. Learners will want to have played a few levels of story mode before coming to class as that is when they are able to start building their cookie kingdom and drawing new cookies. Cookie Run: Kingdom is currently available on iOS and the Google Play store for free. It is a gacha game which means that upgrades can be bought separately in-game but unnecessary in the gameplay. Learners are able to add one another in the game and will be asked to check with their parents before doing so. Currently, in Cookie Run: Kingdom, there are two servers: Pure Vanilla and Hollyberry. The two servers act the same but only learners in the same server will be able to join the same guild and send gifts. The gameplay within these two servers is the same.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, I am Letticia (She/Her)! I live in Ontario Canada and am excited to meet you. I graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Gender Studies. I also completed my Master of Arts in Sociology from the University of Toronto.
I am currently an enrichment program teacher for students aged 7 - 18, focusing on English and Literature. I enjoy teaching English and helping young students experience Sociology for the first time. I love hearing the ideas and opinions students have with each subject and topic they are introduced to. I love using pop culture as a lens in teaching as it keeps the lessons engaging, and allows students to think about what they are watching or reading.
My approach to teaching is encouraging students to think independently and take the steps to become critical thinkers. I believe that if a student is able to think on their own and express their ideas, they have learned more than being a member of the audience in their class. I strive to keep my classroom a safe space and respect chosen names and pronouns.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy playing video games and watching anime. Feel free to recommend your favourite to me!

CLASS REQUESTS
I'm open to class requests on topics that I'm adept in. If you would like to arrange a private class either for one-on-one tutoring, or a private class for 3 or more children that know each other, please let me know!

SPECIAL NEEDS
If you would like to communicate about any special needs or accommodations for your learner, please contact me as soon as possible. I'm happy to discuss how we can make the learning experience enjoyable.
***
CLASS RECORDINGS
For lecture based classes, the recording can be made available upon request.
For social clubs, no recordings will be made available out of respect of learners and their families. They will only be shared with the Outschool Trust and Safety Teams to preserve the security and safety of all learners. Class Recording Requests to such classes will be denied.

REFUNDS, TRANSFERS, AND MISSED CLASSES:
Per Outschool's limited refund policy: "Full refund within 24 hours of purchase or up to a week in advance of the class."
For one-time classes:
If within the week, you realize you won't be able to make class, please contact me at least 48 hours before class and we can transfer your student to a different day and time. This ensures another student who would like to take the class has enough time to see a spot has become available. Messages after 48 hours may result in transfer not being possible.
For ongoing class:
Classes are charged every Sunday for the following week. You have 24 hours to withdraw to stop the charge from going through. I'm unable to provide a refund during the week after you've been charged. Please look at the date listed in each section for your planning needs. Classes will run on the dates listed in the drop-down of each ongoing section. Please check to see if any of those dates fall on holidays in your area.
Please test Zoom before class. I like to be fully present with students as soon as we begin class, and do not access my conversations or classroom comments on Outschool after the class has already started.
****
LOW ENROLLMENT
The class may be canceled if the class is below the minimum enrollment. The students will be contacted to check if they are alright with being in a smaller class, or would rather be transferred or refunded.
Contact me at any time with questions! Emails will be responded to within 48 hours during Monday - Friday and will be responded to by Monday if the email is sent during the weekend. Emails might have gotten lost if they are not responded to within that timeframe. Please feel free to send me a follow-up message. I look forward to hearing from you!
