💁🏻‍♀️What will be taught?
In this tutoring class, I will be having conversation with the learner. This class is great for those beginning English speaking and those who have been speaking it for several years! The goal of this 1-on-1 is to help learners become more confident in their speaking and conversational abilities. I am also available to address specific concerns, such as interview prep. I have a wide range of experience helping kids work on pageant interviews and job prep interviews. The goal of all of my private lessons is to make the learner feel great about what they have accomplished and ready to learn more. 

💁🏻‍♀️What topics will you cover?
The exact topics taught in each lesson will differ depending on the student. For a 3 year old beginning to speak English, we will focus on letters and basic vocabulary. For other students, the lesson, depending on the students level. One of the major requests I have received from parents in the past is to have conversation with their student about a specific topic, such as, animals, occupations, school, holidays, etc. In these lessons, the learner and I would engage in conversation, and as I identified their areas of weakness, we would work on those while keeping the learner’s confidence high. 

💁🏻‍♀️As soon as a caregiver books a lesson, they will be sent questions to give me background knowledge on their learner. I will use that to put a lesson plan together. If you have any questions before signing up, please do not hesitate to reach out. 

💁🏻‍♀️How is your class structured?
In my private lessons, the entire 20 minutes is used to encourage and foster learning. While I do give students a small brain break, research shows that these breaks increase memory retention and boost productivity. We will start by getting to know each other. For young learners we may sing a song and I like to use colorful, engaging pictures to reinforce learning. For older learners, this includes a learner led discussion. Towards the end of our lesson, we will play educational games that aid in production of whichever skills we are focusing on. After the lesson, I will send caregivers a progress report outlining everything that was worked on in the lesson, and it will include optional outside work. 

💁🏻‍♀️How will you teach? 
When I teach, I am very enthusiastic with learners. I want them to enjoy what we are doing. Through the years of working with different ages and different learnings styles, I have developed an approach that aims to teach without the students feeling like they are in an academic lesson. This helps with motivation!
