Let's Take a Trip and Find Out What It's Like to Be a Kid in Japan
Class experience
If your child loves all things Japanese, they will love this class. As I lived and worked as both an elementary and middle school teacher in Sendai, Japan, this class will provide your child with a unique and authentic experience as to what it is like to be a kid in this beautiful part of Japan. So, pack your bags and join me as we spend two days and two nights in Japan as an exchange student!
I graduated from university in 2005 with a BA in East Asian studies and minors in Japanese and East Asian Philosophy. After graduating, I lived and worked in Sendai, Japan for two years as an elementary and middle school teacher. Since then, I have tutored students of all ages in Japanese, worked in a Montessori school with children ages 2-12, and formerly ran a Japanese language group for several years. I have also given many presentations to elementary and middle school children about Japanese culture and language. I am currently persuing my graduate degree in Linguistics research and plan to get a PhD.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
A little about me: Hi, I'm Jacqueline and thanks for visiting my profile! I have been heavily steeped in both Japanese language and culture for over 20 years. Graduating with honors, I have a BA in East Asian Studies and two minors in Japanese...
