Beginner Level
This class is designed to give autistic students an opportunity to shine by practicing socializing. Topics will vary from week to week depending on student interest. Some examples we may do is draw something and then share it, discuss our favorite food, practice making different facial expressions, play a game with each other and other things to allow us tp practice social skills. Students that are more nonverbal may still have the opportunity to interact even if it may only be putting a thumb up or down or showing a drawing.
Learning Goals
To start out with just greeting each other with a hello, good morning, hi and ending the class with a good bye, have a nice day, see you later or other appropriate greetings.
