As your child works on math this school year, let's keep their skills sharp! Students will be challenged with games, drills, and activities to extend their 2nd grade math thinking into 3rd grade concepts. The goal is to not only practice basic math skills ranging from addition and subtraction to telling time and critical thinking story problems; but also to begin to apply these skills through exciting games and teamwork! Your child will leave class with a smile and confidence to begin or continue 3rd grade with excitement! I hope to meet your child in this class to Practice, Extend, and Challenge those skills!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Aubrey and I have been a teacher for 16 years in grades Pre-K through high school, as well as teaching reading and math remediation. I specialize in K-8th grades and I love teaching just about anything! I enjoy making learning fun because I think we learn when we enjoy what we are engaged in! I use games and activities that get the learner involved. My philosophy is that we learn when we feel like the teacher cares, so I love to get to know my students and learn about the things they like and dislike. I believe in expecting the best from my students and giving my best as a teacher! Since beginning teaching, I have held one on one math and reading private tutoring and general lessons. I continue to hold weekly tutoring sessions with elementary students. I enjoy working in one on one settings helping bring out the best in my students outside of the regular classroom. I can't wait to see you in my classroom!
