Class experience

The goal of this class is to help students get excited and feel confident in speaking some Italian through learning some key vocabulary in order to get them interested in foreign languages for college or feeling more confident in basic Italian for an upcoming trip to Italy.
In high school, I was only offered Spanish. I believe that taking foreign language classes opens the doors to many opportunities. My love for languages has continued to grow and at university, I took Italian up through Intermediate level. I now give students the opportunity to learn a language that they are interested in and make learning fun. I have even been known to take facts and put them into a tune to help memorize them easier!
Homework Offered
Homework is optional. *Each time, we will review some from the last lesson. *If homework is given, it will be reviewed in the next class. *Students may be given matching worksheets, flashcards, or/and something similar.
0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
There are no quizzes or tests. We review and engage in mini-conversations together. Your student should expect to participate. If asked, I provide a certificate in pdf format for finishing the course.
Grades Offered
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
I have some sources listed in the sources section that we might use during class-- such as YouTube videos--and also sources that I may put as links for your student to use based on what they are learning-- YouTube videos, Quizlet games to review, etc.

Students also do not need accounts for YouTube but will need an account for Quizlet if they want to play the games and save their scores which can be rewarding: but they won't use Quizlet during class, only as a review of material learned which is an optional resource (not required to use).
