I have been working as an online ESL teacher for the last 2 years with VIP Kid with hundreds of students from age 3 -15. I have a TESOL certification and a Bachelors of Art in Japanese Studies. By learning Japanese I realized how important it is to learn and speak another language. I was also a classroom teacher for 5 years and taught a verity of classes and students at the college level.
Often times the students will receive a work sheet or be asked to talk to their parents about what they have learned. The students could also be asked to play games with their family to practice saying the new words. Homework will be assigned through the classrooms main page and will be sent out as an email to the parent.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Each topic will end with a comprehensive check by playing games where the student will have to answer questions with the vocabulary words they have learned. Each test class will have a review sent to the parents with how well the student did.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
