In this introductory class, we will learn how to greet and introduce ourselves in Tagalog. Students will have a glimpse of the Philippines and the Filipino culture and will enjoy speaking their first Tagalog expression.
Class experience
In this one time class, students will get a basic understanding of the Philippines, its culture and languages. We will then focus on Tagalog which is the national language of the Philippines. We will learn greetings and introductions. Students will be taught pronunciation and intonation of words and sentences. If need be, I will introduce the basics of reading Tagalog words. I was born and raised in the Philippines. I speak 4 major Filipino languages/dialects. Years ago, I was a licensed school teacher in the Philippines and taught Filipino (Tagalog) in the classroom.
