Class Experience

In this ongoing course, students will meet once each week to learn effective ways to ask questions in Tagalog. Although not necessary, I highly recommend that students take my Tagalog introductory classes before taking this course. This course will not go over alphabet and numbers or greetings unless it is necessary and part of the outline.

We will start from simple to complex questions as students grow in their knowledge of Tagalog sentence construction. Classes will cover different types of situations to practice asking and telling sentences.

At every class, students will be given a handout to help them retain information and practice at home. Activities will be provided to encourage participation and support the students' knowledge of the subject matter. The slides and useful graphics I prepare for my classes will help students gain more understanding of the target vocabulary, the concepts, and overall picture of each lesson. We will go over each concept each month with lots of examples and new vocabulary each day.

This course is designed for students who are ready to learn, speak, and understand more Tagalog. With the handouts/worksheets provided, the students will be able to exercise their creativity and thinking skills in order to formulate their own sentences in Tagalog. During the live class, the students will practice situational dialogues with me and the rest of the class. They will be encouraged to speak Tagalog using the provided target sentences.
