Class experience
In this ongoing class, students will develop vocabularies, phrases, basic writing, and gain confidence in speaking Japanese. This class is for those who have completed my Introductory Level 1 or who have knowledge in some phrases and greetings. We will begin with the review from Level 1 including the Hiragana symbols. Students will learn the fundamentals of Japanese language, vocabularies, phrases, and grammar, in the following topics: * Possession/Personal Pronouns * Going shopping and dining * Telling where things/people are * Verbs in present/future tense. * Wether, time, and days of the week. * Hiragana, Katakana, and some Kanji. AND MORE.
I earned a B.A. in Music from California State University, Fresno as well as a teaching license in Music. After receiving a B.A. and a teaching license, I have taught vocal music at elementary schools and choir at both middle and high schools. I also earned a Japanese teaching license in California and taught Japanese at a Japanese Saturday School to young children of the ages from 7 to 10. At my previous brick and motor school, I taught Japanese Language and Culture during the short term in January to the students from the 7th through the 12th grade. I would like to offer engaging Japanese courses.In addition, I earned Master's Degree in Education from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I am a certified Japanese license from California as well as music license from 3 states - Nevada, California, and Iowa.
Homework Offered
Please review Hiragana and Katakana! I will also provide Quizlet to practice vocabulary.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Students will be evaluated formatively based on their class participation.Grades Offered
I will provide textbooks. You will need pencils, highlighters, and flashcards(your choice.) Other than these, all you need is your willingness to learn!
I will give students an access to the following Outschool approved third-party venders for extra practice at home or in class: Quizlet - Vocabulary practice Nearpod - Hiragana and Katakana writing practice Kahoot - Vocabulary or phrase reviews conducted in class You DO NOT need to open an account for any of the above websites.
I will provide textbook for every 8 weeks along with their access to Quizlet for vocabulary practice.
