Bonjour! In this Multi-Day course, we will meet for 45 minutes each week for 6 weeks. We will start by creating a comfortable atmosphere and ensure that everyone is ready. I will encourage a high level of interaction by using visuals, gestures, games, and role plays. I am a native French speaker. As a multilingual individual I understand the steps and roadblocks when learning a foreign language and I have developed methods on making the learning journey more motivational and effective. Skills focus: - Listening skills to spoken language. Show understanding by joining in and responding. - Speaking skills: using basic vocabulary and basic language structure. - Reading skills: read words and show understanding of words. Focus on pronunciation and intonation. Week 1: • Phonetic alphabet • Silent letters • Learning greetings (part 1 - if time allows) • Quiz – summary of key learnings Week 2: • Learning greetings (part 2) • Numbers (1 to 20) • Days • Months • Quiz – summary of key learnings Week 3: • Parts of the body • Quiz – summary of key learnings Week 4: • Colours • Descriptions • Quiz – summary of key learnings Week 5: • French culture • Quiz – summary of key learnings Week 6: • Food & drink • Quiz – summary of key learnings Assessment and measuring progress: • No mandatory homework but it is encouraged that each student practices on a regular basis (at least 1h weekly). Each week a light task will be shared to help you practice. • We will have a fun quiz at the end of each class to test our knowledge. • Slides will be shared after the class. Note: the content might be slightly adapted based on the students' learning development. The class requires a minimum of 3 learners. Parents can contact me anytime if they have any questions. I am Anissa, a friendly and dedicated native French speaker and tutor passionate about supporting learners of all ages, levels, and abilities.
Originally from the French Alps, I have called the UK home for over 15 years.
Being multilingual myself, I deeply understand the challenges and rewards of mastering a new language.
