Class Experience
Beginner - Advanced Level
Your learner will speak Armenian. Yes! It is possible to learn a few sentences after only one lesson! Anyone can do it. Give it a try! In this ongoing, one-on-one course, the student will learn and practice speaking Eastern Armenian (Iranian Armenian accent). Our focus will be on conversational skills. I will have a starting conversation planned for the day. We will then choose a day-to-day conversation topic with the student based on their interest and goals. We will repeat the dialogs until the student gets comfortable. They will find the confidence to speak Armenian. I want the student to have fun while learning. I can show your learner how to use Scratch (a popular block-based coding language developed by MIT) to make characters say something in Armenian. We can use the Scratch website to record some of our conversations for future reference. The student will learn a thing or two about coding as well. We may watch a short video and try to understand it, find familiar words, or repeat the dialogs and new sentences. The topics of this class are learner-directed. We can choose a topic from the list below: - Food, fruits, and vegetables - Animals and nature - Family members - Poetry and songs - Travel - Seasons and weather - Hobbies and color - Likes and dislikes - Time and numbers - Suggested by the students Tentative weekly topics/themes Week one: Food Week two: Likes and dislikes Week three: Seasons and weather Week four: Family members Week five: Travel Please don’t hesitate to contact me to provide information about your student's level and goals with the language, so I can adjust my lessons to meet their specific needs. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
