In this one-time class, we will learn about the Jewish holiday of Purim through song, instrument play & creative movement. We will learn about what some families do on Purim - dress up in costumes, deliver treats to friends & family, and give money to the poor. While many people choose to dress up as characters from the Purim story like Queen Esther, Haman & Mordechai, just as many choose to dress up as whatever or whoever they want to be! Learners of any background are welcome in this class. Please gather up any instruments you have around the home (bells, shakers, drums, etc). Groggers (special Purim noisemakers!) and costumes are welcome too!
Songs we will sing: Chag Purim, Ani Purim, Nosh Nosh a Hamentash
This class will be taught from a secular and educational perspective in keeping with Outschool's policies. Learners are welcome to share what their families like to do for different holidays.
