Description

Class Experience

In this one-time class, we will learn about the Jewish holiday of Tu B'Shevat through song, instrument play & creative movement. Tu B'Shevat is sometimes called the "Birthday of the Trees". We will learn about the "7 Species" - wheat, barley, grapes, figs, pomegranates, olives & dates, and how they relate to this holiday.
Songs we will sing: I'm a Tree, Plant a Tree, I Like to Eat
This class will be taught from a secular and educational perspective in keeping with Outschool's policies....

As a Jewish person who celebrates all Jewish holidays, I will be introducing this topic from a perspective both of personal knowledge and years of educating preschoolers about Judaism and Jewish holidays in a classroom setting.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Please ensure that your learner has adequate space to move around since part of this class involves music and movement.
