Description

Class Experience

Calling all mini pop stars! In this one-off class, your child will learn the words to the song "Dance Monkey" together with their classmates. We will start by warming up our bodies and voice with vocal warm-ups,  then learn the words to the song which will also be on the screen while we sing. We will have fun talking about the tone, tempo and style of the lyrics and music.

Once perfected, we will perform the song together, along with all actions and dance movements the children may have...

What students will learn in this class:
- vocal warm-up techniques
- lyrics to dance monkey
- developing tone in the singing voice
- understanding and knowledge of tone, tempo and music style
- hand actions and dance moves
- listening skills
- turn-taking

Singing is my favourite hobby, I enjoy music and singing immensely and sing all the time, almost non-stop. I love a good karaoke session. I love to hear others enjoying themselves singing and think it's so important for children's learning and development as well as their wellbeing. There's nothing like good music to make you feel happy.

Classmates will be singing and maybe having a little dance if they wish to. Please ensure your child has enough space to do this safely and provide them with a drink to keep ylthem hydrated during class. 

The dance moves will mainly be hand actions or maybe a little twirl around depending on what the children choose in the session, however it is advised that your child warm up and stretch before the class to protect from injury. 

Whilst I will be supervising them over zoom throughout the duration of the class, I ask that you please supervise them in person to safeguard them from accidents.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
