In this introduction to sign language class, your child will learn basic greetings in American Sign Language. I think children learn best through fun and play; I utilize song/games to help expose learners to sign. Through this class your child will learn how to sign greetings such as hello, how are you?, etc. This is an interactive class in which learners will practice conversing with each other in sign language. I served as a member of college sign choir during college. While working at a school for the blind with multiple disabilities, I used sign language to teach and communicate with my students. I have 3 years of experience utilizing sign language in my work teaching at a preschool.
Please be sure to have space for your learner to easily sit/stand while we move and play together.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
