In this one-time section, students will learn to sign basic colors in ASL and will practice communicating with each other in sign language.
Class experience
In this introduction to sign language class, your child will learn how to sign basic colors in ASL. I think children learn best through fun and play; I utilize song/games to help expose learners to sign. This is an interactive class in which learners will practice conversing with each other in sign language. I will open the class with a fun icebreaker that gives the learners a chance to get to know each other and interact with each other. Learners will then learn a song (“Hello Everybody”)...
I served as a member of college sign choir during college. While working at a school for the blind with multiple disabilities, I used sign language to teach and communicate with my students. I have 3 years of experience utilizing sign language in my work teaching at a preschool.
