In this class we will learn about simple fractions and decimals including 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/5, 1/6, 1/8, 1/10 and their corresponding decimals 0.5, 0.333, 0.25, 0.2, 0.166667, 0.125, 0.10. We will use the concept of cutting and sharing a pizza to help learn this concept. We will use items to count and divide into groups in class, interactive online activities, and worksheets to practice identifying fractions and decimals together. Week 1 - Fractions Week 2 - Decimals I love teaching math concepts in an interactive and hands on way. I follow the lead of students' understanding and work on concepts until they demonstrate that they understand.

Supply List
Items to count with like counting cubes or cheerios, a writing utensil, crayons, scissors and handouts provided.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
