4 in-class hoursClass Experience
In this 1 hour weekly or biweekly, multi-day class, students will create their very own woodland felt creatures. Each class, we will introduce another animal and create a new soft n cozy creature. These plush animals can be made into various things like key chains, magnets, tooth pillows and of course, just as super cute plush figures! These would make great gifts for your friends and family. Students should have a basic knowledge of using scissors and using a needle. The ability to tie a knot is helpful but I will go over basics during class as well. In these classes, we will use very simple materials such as scissors, felt, embroidery thread and needles. Embellishments such as beads, feathers and decorative elements are always welcome! In this multi-day class, students will learn how to thread a needle, create basic embroidery stitches and decorative knots, how to use a pattern, cut out their designs, stitch together pieces and stuff their plush figures. I will also show students how to design their own figures and readjust the patterns I offer patterns as they'd like. Some original patterns that will be used during this class are an owl, a hedgehog, a fox and a bunny. We can also add in other animals if the students desire. Before each class, I will post a pattern for the animal we will be designing. Please note you will need access to a printer to print out the patterns. Should your student be out of the age range proposed in the class, but they would like to join, please message me!
