In this interactive class, students will practice reading, writing, spelling and using 4-6 1st grade Dolch sight words in a sentence.

US Grade 1
In this interactive class students will practice reading, writing, spelling and using 1st grade Dolch sight words in a sentence. Students are not required to have any previous knowledge of the words. One sight word at a time will be displayed for students to see. I will read the word aloud and ask the students to repeat the word back to me. After the word is said aloud, we will roll a virtual die to see what fun thing we will do with the word. Each number on the die will tell the students to do a certain thing with the sight word such as “Use your word in a sentence.” or "Write your word 3 times". At the end of class, students will review the words by spending a virtual wheel and read the sight word that the wheel lands on.

I have been teaching elementary school for over 17 years. I have taught students in general education and students in Special Education. I have taught in both private and charter school settings.
In my everyday life, I am a wife and mother of one sweet 11 year old girl. I enjoy watching movies and spending time with my family.
