Description

Class Experience

Learners will explore the layers of the Earth (Crust, Mantle, Outer Core, Inner Core).  They will discover the steps in the rock cycle and examine the different processes that form each rock.
I have 17 years experience teaching K-12, with an emphasis in science education.  I have worked with many teachers over the summer training them how to make science more fun! I train teachers and write curriculum for a science education company each summer.  I love science and bringing it to life for my students.
No homework is assigned in this class.  Learners may need to finish some activities after class.
Learners will need the following supplies for class: - Pencil - Printer (for worksheets) - White and construction paper - 3 Starburst Candies (different colors) - 1 Ziplock Bag - Scissors - Glue stick - Crayons or Colored Pencils
No formal assessment is given in this class.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Learners may need to use scissors at different times during class.  Safety scissors for young learners are always recommended.
