During this four-week course, we will read the book, discuss the authors, the art, the plot, the music (yes, this book has a soundtrack!), and even learn a little about space. We will also learn some new vocabulary, while recognizing the different elements of story, such as: -characters -setting -point of view -theme -genre And we'll even learn what a "running gag" is! (Hint: there are quite a few of them in this book.) Here's what the reading schedule looks like. Reading for the week will need to be completed BEFORE we meet for that week. Week 1 - Chapters 1 -5 Week 2 - Chapter 6 - 11 Week 3 - Chapters 12 - 17 Week 4 - Chapters 18 - 22 Bringing your book to class each week with help with discussion.
