Parental Guidance
I believe students should be free to read what is enjoyable to them, however it is important that for the purposes of this class we keep the book discussions to young adult literature. Young Adult Literature is written for ages 12-18 and most protagonists fall within this age range. "YA Literature is fiction that deeply resonates with the unique experiences and challenges faced by adolescents. These novels often explore themes of identity, self-discovery, and the transition to adulthood, providing readers with relatable narratives that mirror their own journeys. The protagonists frequently grapple with issues such as friendship, first love, and societal expectations, fostering a strong connection between readers and characters."
Supply List
Students will need to acquire their own copies of the assigned books. The teacher will keep the list current so that students have at least a month to get each book.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
