Class Experience
Each week we will read two different MathStart books by Stuart J. Murphy and talk about the different parts we liked. Before the stories, students vote and help choose which book we read first. When reading the book, I like to incorporate movement and interaction to keep the students engaged. For example, if a pizza is being cut into fractions, we will pretend to slice and eat our pizza too. We might hop, clap and jump in a pattern when we are reading about sequencing. I have taught almost 3,000 student on Outschool. I am a passionate teacher and homeschool mom who loves to inspire students to learn from the world around us. My Story Time Adventure Book Clubs are rated five stars and popular with students of all abilities. I have read and loved the MathStart books with my students for years, and I am excited to share them on Outschool.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
