In this small class, students will enjoy reading interesting stories with the teacher. Besides the above academic skills, the students will learn to love reading. They will enjoy reading aloud and learn to read with expression. My goal is for them to become better oral readers. They will learn to dig for information in even a simple story. I want this class to make reading fun and enjoyable to my students!
As a retired teacher of 33 years, I have taught reading for grades kindergarten, second, third, fourth, fifth, snd sixth in a public classroom. I feel excited and comfortable to be sharing this knowledge with students. I truly feel if the student is interested, and will complete the work, this class will make a huge difference in the life of the student! It just may be a game changer! Let's get excited about learning and have fun together!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will need to have these two books: Owl at Home and Frog and Toad Are Friends They are available at the library, or at a used book store.
