Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
I have been an educator for nearly 23 years. First as a preschool teacher, then a therapeutic tutor for children with learning disabilities and then as a homeschool parent and writing teacher. I hold a certification in the Orton-Gillingham methodology. My extensive background in education and particularly in the language arts realm, allows me to have unique expertise in educating children in all subject areas!
As a homeschooling mom, I have been teaching my own children for the past 11 years. I have taught every subject from history to geography, math to science. I have conducted unit studies on astronomy, geography, chemistry and physics within local co-ops as a facilitator to elementary-aged students.
Read the assigned chapters before each session.
Work on lap books.
•Printer •pencils/pens •markers or crayons •glue stick •file folder •scissors •paper copy or audio/Kindle version of book
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
