First, students will learn the definition of inference and what it means to read between the lines. Second, they will practice making inferences with the teacher through relevant photos, music, and text. Third, students will write one paragraph about the inference they have made from the text they read with the teacher. In addition, they will be required to write a topic sentence, 3-4 supporting detail sentences, and a closing sentence. The students will be required to cite the text when writing their paragraphs, explaining which part of the text led them to make those inferences.
