Let's Read! Baby-Sitter's Club Graphix Social Book Club
In this class, learners will have a blast reading and discussing the Baby-Sitter's Club graphic novels. These books have great reluctant reader appeal, cover topics of friendship and family dynamics, and have great character development!

The amazing Baby-Sitter's Club series gets a makeover in the Graphix series! These graphic novels are great for reluctant readers and have captured the hearts of many upper elementary students! This is a fun, laid-back book club! Each week we will hang out and discuss a different book from the series. Students will read one book each week. Students will practice reading comprehension skills. Students will compare and contrast characters.
I have been teaching upper elementary students for 9 years. I have read and discussed these books with students 3rd grade and up.
Homework OfferedStudents will read one book each week outside of class
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Students will need to have their own copies of the books to read each week.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Some topics in the book include bullying, divorce, diabetes, moving to a new school, and the loss of a parent.
