Class experience
US Grade 3 - 5
This class is an ongoing class, and we will cyclically work through 4 different outlines to help improve 4 areas of writing. 1) Book Report 2) Opinion Essay 3) Summary 4) Persuasive Essay Each week, I will present the outlines and explain how to use them. A pdf copy of each outline will be provided before class for them to print and use during class. Also, a writing skill will be taught each week (mechanics, sentence structure, use of adjectives & adverbs, banned words like nice or pretty,...
Students will use outlines as a guide for writing.
Homework Offered
Students will have a chance to work on their outlines in class and can write from them over the week. They will have an opportunity to share their written work in the next class, but since this is an ongoing class and learners can join and drop as necessary, this will not be a requirement.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
