Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi! Welcome! I am a work-from-home mom of 4 amazing kiddos (Tripp, Kinzee, Hayden, and Cooper). I have been married to my best friend, JT, for 10 wonderful years! When I'm not teaching, you can usually find me hauling my children from one sporting event to another. I also enjoy playing ultimate frisbee and watching my husband coach football, basketball, and baseball.
I have a degree in Elementary Education K-6. After teaching 1st grade in public school for 2 years, I decided to stay home with my own children. Through this I found a love for teaching online. I have been teaching English online for 4.5 years!
I enjoy teaching math, reading, spelling, and grammar. Having a foundation in elementary education has guided me in creating engaging and hands-on activities for many classes. One of my passions is reading stories with excitement and great voice inflection. I love it when a reader can truly make a story come to life. I believe learning can and should be fun (and maybe even silly)! Every student learns in different ways, so it is important to be able to adapt to individual learning styles and needs. Through songs, hands-on activities, repetition, and art, we can make learning exciting!
I cannot wait to meet you. :)
