Class Experience
In this one time class students will learn how to play the spelling game word ladder. The way we will play the game is I will give a three or four letter word for the start of the game (ex. Dog), then we will take turns adding to the ladder. Each student will get a turn to make a new word. Only one letter can be changed each turn. If students are struggling coming up with a new word I will give them hints. The game continues until noone can make a new word. Another rule is no repeat...
If students would like to bring pencil and paper so they can copy our word ladder would be great, but is not required as I will be sharing my screen and making the list for all students to see.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
