In this one time class students will practice spelling by playing the game word ladder.

In this one time class students will learn how to play the spelling game word ladder. The way we will play the game is I will give a three or four letter word for the start of the game (ex. Dog), then we will take turns adding to the ladder. Each student will get a turn to make a new word. Only one letter can be changed each turn. If students are struggling coming up with a new word I will give them hints. The game continues until noone can make a new word. Another rule is no repeat words. Here is a small example of the game Dog Hog Log Leg Let ...... Ect This class offers a fun way for students to practice their spelling skills while playing a puzzle game with other students. How many different beginning words we will do can vary depending upon how many students are in class and also how big we can make our ladder.

If students would like to bring pencil and paper so they can copy our word ladder would be great, but is not required as I will be sharing my screen and making the list for all students to see.

Hello. I teach a lot of classes about animals and I also teach some reading classes. All of my animal classes are taught about animals that I own.
I love to educate people about animals, animal abuse and neglect. Almost all of my animals come to me as rescues. I like to teach others how to properly care for animals so that the animals can live a long and happy life. Research isn't always reliable as you get different answers in different books and it can be hard to figure out what's best. I am always open to questions. If you are interested in getting a certain pet, just want to learn about different pets or have a pet and want to verify the care is correct, I welcome everyone. I have also trained service dogs and I currently own a trained service dog.
I have taught local classes about the needs of turtles and tortoises, and also community education Sign language classes.
I am a homeschool parent. I have been homeschooling for over 15 years. In our homeschool adventure we use a lot of books and research for learning. We do not use textbooks.
I also have 3 years of college completed. I studied teaching with an emphasis on special education.
