We will play sudoku every day (multiple one time classes over week of president's day - uncovering the different methods of solving one. This has potential to improve analytical skills in long term. This will be an interactive group class where everyone will share their thought process about how a sudoku can be solved next. There is no pre-requisite for this class. For further practice learner can use daily newspaper or available resources in local library. No homework will be assigned. An added benefit for this class : Learner will develop the skill of presenting their thoughts in articulated manner to the larger group. We will start with solving some basic/easy puzzle and move to middle/hard as the group wishes.

A Telecommunication Engineer turned into a Maths teacher here, following my passion and heart!! Being mom of 2 school going children, I always feel that learning Math should be a thought provoking group discussion. Child should be engaged in a way that Math starts making sense to him/her.
I had been a Master Tutor for Math at University of Texas at Arlington from 2004 to 2005, while I was pursuing my Masters of Science - Electrical Engineering with focus in Wireless Engineering. At UTA, I was awarded title of Master Tutor after having taught for 500 + hours and completing Level 1 to Level 3 Tutor's training.
