Welcome to Pelican Town! In our ongoing class, we will play Stardew Valley every week, hang out, and chat. At the start of each class, we will share what we've been doing on our farms and talk about any new gossip or theories about the townspeople. In each class, we will share screenshots, memes, and all things Stardew Valley while we play and chat. I will have weekly and monthly challenges too. We'll set goals together and work towards having successful, thriving farms. Who's your favorite townsperson? Who gets on your nerves? What animals are the easiest to care for? Who caught a great fish recently? What's the secret of the drain pipe? This game is vast - and it is so much more fun to play with other people! All of my classes are inclusive, LGBT-friendly, and for everyone. Our class can participate in co-op when available (please see the requirements for co-op) based on the systems people have to play with. I own the game on PC and Switch (please don't judge me).
Learning Goals
Students will improve their social skills by talking about their experiences in Stardew Valley. Students may also increase their knowledge of responsibility, relationships, and making difficult decisions as part of the game. We will discuss these aspects too!

Georgia Teaching Certificate in English/Language Arts
Master's Degree in Education from Kennesaw State University
I have been successfully teaching classes on Outschool for over a year now, I am a high school teacher, and a videogame fanatic. I have been playing games my whole life and talking about them with other people! More importantly, I pride our classes and clubs on their inclusivity and ability to have meaningful discussions and make students feel safe, seen, and cared for.
