Description
Class Experience
I have 11 years of experience teaching comparative government at post-secondary level.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The sources for this class come primarily from various 101 readers in political science, such as: * Mintz, Close & Croci "Politics, Power and the Common Good: An Introduction to Political Science", 5e, * Hauss, Charles & Melissa Haussman, 2013, Comparative Politics: Domestic Responses to Global Challenges, 8th Ed. Boston: ITP Nelson * Kesselman, Mark, 2010, Readings in Comparative Politics: Political Challenges and Changing Agendas, 2nd Edition, Boston: ITP Nelson I also have a YouTube channel - Professor Hellstrom - that covers these political systems, and the same key content, as well. These provide source material for the class, but are not required readings/watching for the learners.
