Description
Class Experience
This private ongoing class provides a great platform to sight-read new piano pieces, review level appropriate music reading and notation and practice piano techniques. Learners should already have 1-2 years of piano experience. Please see below for more information. By the end of each class learners will be able to play a new piano piece confidently and with accurate technique! Because of the one-on -one format, learners will receive an abundance of personalized feedback. I use the Piano Adventures Performance Level 2A book in this class. Learners must have their own copy of this curriculum book. The dates and topics listed below are suggestions. We will begin with the first piece in the learner's first class. Material used in this course is composed, arranged, and written by Nancy and Randall Faber. Copyright © Faber Piano Adventures, Inc. Used with permission. ****Please note that due to copyright laws each learner must have their own copy. If you have any concerns please let me know...**** Once enrolled, I will send a link to purchase the book. PLEASE NOTE: This is a sight-reading and performance based class. In order to get the most out of these classes, learners should already have 1-2 years of piano experience. Learners should be set up at a piano, acoustic or electric, in such a way that I can hear them well and see their keyboard. The following are the topics we will learn each week. Week of Jan 15-21: Topic/Theme 1: The Juggler Week of Jan 22-28: Topic/Theme 2: Rhino in the Mud Week of Jan 29- Feb 4: Topic/Theme 3: Green Frog Hop Week of Feb 5-11: Topic/Theme 4: Dance Theme Variation Week of Feb 12-18: Topic/Theme 5: Home on the Range If learners are interested to continue we can schedule additional classes and continue with the following songs: Mr. McGill's Boop Sha-Bop! It would be greatly appreciated if a parent/guardian could be available off-camera for at least the 1st few minutes of class to assist with technology, if needed. I aim to make learners feel as comfortable and welcome as possible freeing up time for parents/guardians.
