In this 6 week course, beginning students will learn the basics of music and piano playing. We will focus on good technic and theory. Students will have the opportunity to play folk songs and showcase what they have learned through videos.

Let's play piano! In this group course, beginning students will learn the basics of playing the keyboard. In this beginning course students will play on both the black and white keys. Students will have the opportunity to play some well known folk songs such as "Old MacDonald Had a Farm" and "Bingo." We will learn the middle C hand position in this class. 1 file available upon enrollmentLearners will need a piano or keyboard to complete this course. They will also need to purchase the book "Bastien New Traditions All In One Piano Course" Primer A. It is widely available through music stores or online and costs around $10 USD. Here is the Amazon link for reference. Students will also need a pencil to mark their music in class. We will be using the Kjos Interactive Piano Studio in this class. Access to the online piano studio is included in the cost of your workbook.
