Let's Play Palworld! a Video Gaming Social Club (14-18)
Class experience
US Grade 9 - 12
Welcome to the one of the first Palworld clubs on Outschool! If you like Pokemon, Digimon, cute critters, or Zelda, you're going to love Palworld! Learners may either opt to play together in a teacher-hosted cooperative privately served (PC) world, or just hang out and chat about the game. Xbox players are welcome to join and chat, too! Cooperative PC game play experience may include: * Character creation * Strategies for achieving game goals * Sharing progress, tips, tricks and questions...
Students will extend their love of gaming into also practicing social skills, discussion, teamwork, and vicariously learning real-life takeaways through shared experiences in the Palworld video game.
A long-time gamer, as of this listing, I'm jumping into Palworld the first week of early access. I look forward to learning and advising as much as I can while guiding learners through co-op play as the game continues to be developed and change.
Learners need to have their own copy of Palworld, the game. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1623730/Palworld
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Remember to have the game downloaded and ready to go, making sure to charge any devices needed to play during class. As of January, 2024, Palworld is in early access, and not cross-platform multiplayer yet. The class server is hosted on PC (computer). Xbox players are welcome to attend, but may not be able to play in the class server until cross-platform function is updated. Learners should be able to join via session code, but may have to share their Steam user IDs with the teacher (as part of troubleshooting) in order to join the class server. They may also want to share user IDs with other learners in order to play outside of class time. Please talk to your learner about Internet safety protocols and when it is appropriate to share personal information.
Learners will need to have the Palworld game installed and ready to play prior to game time. This sever is hosted on PC, which currently (week one of early access play) only supports PC players. Xbox players are welcome to also join the class, play on their own devices, and chat about the game, but may not be able to join the multiplayer teacher-hosted server experience until cross-platform play is enabled
Bringing the practical to the digital. Hello. My name is Heidi. I've been homesteading for two decades, and homeschooling as long as I've had a school-age kid. I think that learning happens both intentionally and experientially, and there is...
