In this 45-minute one-time class, I am calling all gamers. Are you ready to bring your best Mario skills? You are invited to a party and not just any regular party. It's a Mario party. Learners will be able to socialize and make new friends in a safe gaming environment. Gamers will discover new math learning strategies such as how many coins you need to get a star and what are the best items to use to get ahead of your opponent. This class is taught in English.
Learners will participate in collaborative conversations about video game topics and gaming strategies with peers in a small group. Learners will prepare and participate in a range of conversation ideas and learn to express themselves clearly in a safe learning environment.
I understand that Mario Party can be challenging and frustrating at times. I will show learners how to be patient and demonstrate good sportsmanship with some positive words of encouragement.

Parental guidance is needed to set up a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online and Mario Party Superstars. In addition, gamer tags will be required for the class. I understand that private servers are important for educators to help keep our learners safe while enjoying their online gameplay. The teacher will list the steps on how to find their "friend code" before the lesson starts. Learners are not to add other students as friends without parental permission.
