Step into the world of Minecraft with this Survival Class! This adventure is all about learning and having fun in a vast, open world. In this class, you'll discover the thrill of exploring, gathering resources like wood, stone, and food, and using them to build your very own homes and tools. We'll learn the basics of survival, like finding food by growing crops, fishing, or even raising animals. Together, we'll explore the land, filled with forests, mountains, and hidden caves. My learning goal for this class is to help students become better communicators, problem solvers, builders and team players. Throughout each lesson, I aim to make my students flourish in their self-esteem by guiding them to act out what they think is best through working with other class members and NPCs within the game.
To assist students whose first language not be English, I hold a TEFL certificate. This means I can assist your learner to become better speakers of the language through varied communication techniques. These include and are not limited to; reading, writing, listening, pronunciation and simple English Grammar.
For this class, you will need to have purchased a copy of Minecraft (Bedrock Edition). You'll need two devices: the first for the Zoom call (to talk) and one to play Minecraft. Zoom can be downloaded and used on smartphones (iOS/Android) or PC, and Minecraft (Bedrock Edition) can be played on another device (Windows 10/11 PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S | X, PlayStation 4/ PS5, Nintendo Switch, Fire OS/TV, Android/iOS). It's highly recommended to have the most recent installation of Minecraft (Bedrock Edition) on your device. And you will need a FREE Microsoft Account to play Minecraft online. You must also have a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online/Xbox Live/Playstation Plus (if you are on a console) in order to play with other people on the private server.
