Description
Class Experience
Among Us is a game that follows a group of crewmates, and among them is an impostor whose goal is to sabotage their space-ship and the crew. At the start of the class your student will be given a code to join a private game. Since this game allows in-game chat, the private server will ensure a safe environment for your child and will ensure they will not be interacting with just anyone. Your student, and a class of peers their own age, will get to work together to problem solve, communicate...
A device with the Among Us app on it.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The game consists of "impostors" and "crewmates". The impostors goal is to sabotage the ship and kill all the crewmates. The crewmates' goal is to complete their list of tasks and vote out the impostor before they have killed every. The game is rated "ESRB EVERYONE 10+ for Fantasy violence, Mild blood". Video clips of the game are available on youtube if you would like to see the game before allowing your child to play. NOTE: This game only works with a minimum of 6 players. If there are not at least 5 students signed up one hour before the class starts, I will message parents and offer a refund or a reschedule. (If your class starts at 6pm, and at 5pm only 2 students are signed up, I will cancel class and message the parent) IMPORTANT: This is an online game. After the class ends, if your student is still on their device, they may turn public mode on and be at risk to talk to strangers. During this class we will be playing on private, meaning we are only playing with the people in the class.
