Let's Paint: Watercolored Potted Plants! (Ages 13-18)
In this fun, creative one-time class learners will create their own watercolor painting of potted plants including cacti, ferns and flowers by taking creative risks and making color, outline and layout choices for their project.

Class Experience
Learners will be able to: -understand what watercolored art is and how it is made -take part in meaningful / creativity-based conversation -utilize a variety of art materials -trust their own creative process and take creative risks
Lisa D'Annunzio-Jones holds a Masters of Education Degree from Villanova University, is a certified teacher in the state of Pennsylvania and holds certifications in English / Theatre / Communications. She has been teaching English, theater, ESL and art since 2006 to students aged 3-18.
While no homework is assigned for this class, practice of the skills learned in class is certainly encouraged as it is through practice that we strengthen our skills and become better artists.
1 file available upon enrollment- 2 pieces of watercolor (140 lb.) or “mixed media” paper (size 8.5 x11”) (these papers are heavy and take water well) One piece is for sketching and learning painting techniques. The other is for the project of the day. - one set of watercolors (any brand will work great) -one freshly sharpened pencil -an eraser -a paper towel -a cup of water -a ruler -a fine-point black Sharpie to outline dry watercolor art
While there is no formal assessment, students are encouraged to take an active role in class conversation, take creative risks, and support one another in our online art classroom.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
