In this one time class, students will learn how to paint trees, with various techniques.
Class experience
In this class, students will learn how to gently sketch a basic outline of a tree, choose where the sun is coming from, and then learn to gently paint their own. We will then do this same idea with a more detailed tree. Techniques for this project will include testing pigments, wet on dry, dry brushing, layering, and lifting. watercolor paint (either pans or tubes are great!) a palette or plastic tray for mixing 2 sheets of 8.5" x 11" watercolor paper, or mixed media paper that allows for wet and dry mediums watercolor brushes (rounds and flats are great to start with) or whatever brushes you have on hand work too! 2 cups of water for cleaning brushes paper towel pencil paper
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
