In this class students will craft an adorable kawaii Mason jar. This step-by-step interactive class will also include conversations on Japanese kawaii culture and our passion... crafting. Both beginner and brilliant makers are welcome.

Grab your brushes, glitter, and “Let’s Craft a Kawaii Mason Jar!”. In this club, students will paint an adorable Mason jar, talk about Japanese kawaii culture, and discuss all things crafting. Don’t worry, I will walk students through the steps so that beginners and brilliant crafters will enjoy themselves and have a beautiful jar at the end of class. Come be a part of “Let’s Paint Kawaii Jars!”. Schedule for a 45 minute class: Welcome and Expectations - 5 minutes Supply Check & Instructions - 10 minutes Painting and discussion - 20 minutes Project share - 7 minutes Goodbyes - 3 minutes Times are approximate as the class caters to student need and interests.

Mason Jar (smooth, not quilted) - Estimated cost $5.00 1 2oz. acrylic paint in your favorite color or pastel kawaii color - Estimated cost $1.50 1 White paint marker (alternate for more experienced crafters: white acrylic paint with a small brush) - Estimated cost $2.50 1 Pink paint marker (alternate for more experienced crafters: pink paint with a small brush) - Estimated cost $2.50 1 Black paint marker (alternate for more experienced crafters: black paint with a small brush) - Estimated cost $2.50 1 2oz. glitter (matching color, iridescent, gold, silver, or none - student choice) - Estimated cost $3.00 Masking tape or painters tape (enough to go around the jar) - Estimated cost $1.00 2 Foam brushes - Estimated cost $1.00 1 2oz.
