Class Experience
This is an easy and relaxing acrylic class for young artists to practice painting a purple moonlight landscape using only four colors. Learners will explore color mixing, blending, and brush techniques while discovering their artistic flow. We will focus on the creative process rather than the finished product so that learners can build their confidence in their own creative abilities. Young artists will practice mixing colors and exploring brush strokes. They will be able to finish a painting while discovering their artistic style.
10x10 or 12x12 canvas Acrylic paint: White; Black; Violet, Ultramarine Blue Medium & Small Flat Brushes; Small Round Brush; Small Liner Brush, Small Detail Brush, Hard Bristle Round or Stencil Paint Brush (important) Palette tray or paper plate Cup of water Paper Towel or rag Newspaper or mat to protect their work area Hair Blow Dryer (to help make the paint dry faster) Circular object to trace the moon Pencil
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
