During this class, students will learn how to paint a beautiful landscape with a galaxy sky. We will discuss the different watercolor techniques like "wet on wet" and how to use your paintbrush to create interesting effects on paper. We will also learn how to dab in a dotted galaxy, create a fascinating silhouette and finish it off by splattering stars into the sky! As the teacher, I will guide the students step-by-step through each process and paint alongside them. In the materials section below, you can find everything that you will need for this class.
Learning Goals
Students will learn to use watercolor brushes correctly, be able to identify warm and cool colors and explore the effects and techniques of watercolor painting.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Nikki and I am a teacher of many things! I am passionate about art, video games, animation, technology and leadership. I have a college degree in animation.. how COOL is that!?
My classroom is very relaxed and even though all of my lessons have structure, everyone is free to make creative choices and customize their projects any way they like. My teaching style is very patient, very kind and I like to make students laugh, smile and have fun learning.
When I'm not teaching, I play video games with my family. I have two kids - ages 15 and 6 and a cat. But my cat doesn't play video games.. he doesn't have thumbs! :) Our favorite games to play are:
-- Minecraft
-- Roblox
-- Mario
-- Among Us
Just to name a few ;)
This is me! Hope to see you in the classroom soon!
