Class Experience

This is a fun and relaxing acrylic class for young artists to practice painting an easy mountain landscape painting using a few colors. Learners will explore color mixing, blending, and brush techniques. We will focus on the creative process rather than the finished product so that learners can build their confidence in their own creative abilities. 
At the beginning of class, learners will first greet and introduce themselves. Young artists will then follow along as I demonstrate...

Young artists will practice mixing colors and exploring brush strokes. They will be able to finish a painting while discovering their artistic style

9x12 or 11x14 canvas
Acrylic paint: White, Black, Naples Yellow, Turquoise, Phthalo Blue
Large/Medium Flat Brushes; Small Round Brush; Extra Small Detail Brush, Small Flat Brush, Old Toothbrush
Black Fine Tip Marker Pen or Black Posca Pen 
Palette tray or paper plate
Cup of water
Paper Towel or rag
Newspaper or mat to protect their work area
Hair Blow Dryer (to help make the paint dry faster)

1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Parental supervision for learners who are still learning how to use a blow dryer.
