What's included
1 live meeting
1 in-class hoursClass Experience
Students will learn about the ancient Egyptian process of mummification (cleaning and preserving the outside of the body only, as Barbie has no internal organs to hook out through the nose or torso), the science behind how and why it works, and the beliefs that accompanied the process while creating their own mummy using common household items. Lecture, discussion, graphics, video clips, and hands-on engagement will all be utilized. This class satisfies the recommended daily allowance of science, social studies, history, art, and fun! Students will get messy. They'll learn much. They'll walk away wanting to find out more. Parental support is encouraged. Please be sure to check the "materials" section of the class listing and come to class prepared with all necessary items.

Teacher expertise and credentials
In my 14-year science teaching career, I've done and seen it all or at least I thought I had until my now 9-year-old 2E son came along wanting to experiment with anything and everything. He's taught me a lot and I look forward to teaching and learning from your students, too.
