Meditation is a personal care and self-regulation technique that can be used throughout many situations/challenges kids encounter in their everyday life. Whether we feel overwhelmed, anxious, bored, or excited meditation is a daily habit that can be cultivated for mental, physical, and spiritual health. Plus it's fun to visualize encountering new and vivid places in our mind, noticing how our body, mind, and breath react.

Disclaimer:
This class includes a both simple and challenging movement. If your child has any physical limitations, please let me know.
It is important to have a clear space, a yoga mat or non slick floor, comfortable clothing for moving around, and drinking water. During any yoga practice it is encouraged to make sure it feels good and right for you, even if it means modifying a pose or substituting a pose all together. If you feel that your child can not look out for their own well-being it is recommended that a parent supervise from the side.
I understand that yoga includes physical movements. As is the case with any physical activity, the risk of injury is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated. As parent or guardian of the minor child participating in class, am aware that participation in a sport or physical exercise, such as yoga, may result in accident or injury, and hereby assume the risk connected with any participation from myself or my child in any yoga class with Kristin Miller.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I love teaching yoga to all ages, however I specialize in teaching yoga to kids and momma's. I am a mom to 4, ranging from age 9 to 19 and live in snowy Minnesota. When I'm not teaching I am usually on my mat practicing my own yoga or out finding new a beautiful places to hike.
I am a 200hr registered yoga teacher with many more hours of specialized certifications. I believe that it is important to understand our own internal workings and how this has us interacting in the world around us. Each and every one of us show up just as we are, we learn how to tap into our breath in both comfortable and uncomfortable settings. Choosing our reactions day-by-day!
This is done through mindful meditation, spirited movement, and some silly(amazing) dance skills. I would love for you to join us in class soon!
