Description

Class Experience

This course will focus on helping children increase their fluency, accuracy, and comprehension while reading stories at their instructional level. The course will be developed around an evidence-based reading program called Read Naturally. Students will participate in a placement test to determine which reading level is appropriate for them. Once a reading level is determined, specific goals will be set for your child to achieve. The child will then get the opportunity to pick a story that...

This class is taught in English.

Students will improve their reading fluency, accuracy, and comprehension.

As a teacher with degrees in both elementary education and special education, my passion is to teach students of every level because I believe every child can learn!

Electronic versions of the stories the students will be reading will be provided. Printing the pages is not required, but is recommended.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

A running record will be used to track the learners reading fluency progress.

1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
